How to make Egg Biryani Recipe : Egg Biryani is most simple and delicious recipe. We can cook it in 40 minutes. As eggs are healthy, well know for its rich proteins. Mostly, eggs are preferable in breakfast time, as it turns day into more healthy and energetic.
Ingredients for making Egg Biryani Recipe –
Basmati rice or regular rice : 1 cup (Mostly prefer basmati rice for rich look)
Eggs : 3 eggs
Spices like –
Cinnamon stick : 1
Bay leaf : 1
Star anise : 1
Cradamom : 2-3
TUrmeric powder : a pinch
Cumin seeds : 1 tbsp
Tomato : 2, chopped
Onions : 1, chopped
red chilli powder : 2 tbsp
Green chillies : 2, slitted
Ginger garlic paste : 1 tbsp
Giner : 2
Garlic : 1 small piece
Corinader powder : 1/2 tbsp
Garam masala : 1tbsp
Biryani masala : 1 tbsp
Corander leaves : 1 bunch, chopped
Mint leaves : 1/2 bunch, chopped
Cashew nuts : 5-6
Water : as required for cooking rice and gravy
Oil : 2 tbsp
Ghee : 1 tbsp (for frying cashews)
Step by step procedure on how to make Egg Biryani recipe:
Take 1 cup of rice, soak it in water for 15-20 minutes and keep it aside (If you prefer salt in rice add it). Start the procedure for making biryani, take one pan and heat it. Add 1 tbsp of ghee to it and let it melt. Now add cashews and fry them till they turn into golden brown. Take out cashews and keep it aside. Now add chopped onions to the same pan and stir them until they fry into golden and off the stove and take out fried onions.
Now in the same pan, add little more ghee or oil. Take whole spices (Cinnamon stick, star anise, cardamom, cloves) and add it in pan. fry them. Mean while, take chopped coriander leaves, mint leaves, green chillies, ginger garlic pieces and salt. Grind them in a mixer jar and keep it aside. If spices are fried, add grind ed paste and saute them for few seconds so raw aroma goes off from it. Turn off flame, add soaked rice and mix well rice with this prepared mixture. Take pressure cooker and place rice and pour 2 cups of water to it. Cover cooker with lid and cook the rice.
Mean while, till it cooks, you can proceed with next process. Boil the eggs, take a bowl which is sufficient for boiling eggs without overlapping each egg. Add water as required for boiling. The water will be rolling, boil it for few minutes and off the stove, when added water gets dried. Peel of eggs and keep it aside. Take a pan and heat oil, add remaining sliced onions and bring them to golden brown. Now add ginger garlic paste, it sizzles and saute for few minutes so that raw aroma goes off. Add cumin seeds, turmeric powder, garam masala, coriander powder, biryani masala, red chilli powder and roast them. After frying them add choped tomatoes and saute it for few minutes.
For gravy, add water to mixture and bring gravy thick by covering pan with pate for few minutes. After forming thickness, take out cooked rice and fluff it well (The rice should be separate without sticking). Mix cooked rice with gravy and mix rice with masala mixture nicely. Slice the boiled eggs and place them in middle of rice to blend all flavors into eggs. After 20 minutes serve egg biryani by garnishing with fried onions, cashews and coriander leaves on top of rice.
